Aims
The website is managed by The Crediton Heart Project, a charity working to foster creativity and connection in the communities in and around Crediton, covering roughly the catchment area of QE Academy.
The aim of the website is to share information about:
- the charity, its members, aims, projects and achievements
- local events, activities and stories
- local venues to hire
Acceptable submissions
- All listings submitted must relate to organisations or activities based in the Crediton area.
- All listings/articles submitted must comply with applicable law in the UK.
- All images submitted must be the contributors’ own work or have the necessary rights or permission to be shared.
- The authorship of articles, where applicable, is to be recognised.
- Articles to be kept to an agreed length, suitable for the space allocated.
- Editors to be permitted to make minor editing alterations to text and images in the interest of accuracy, formatting and to suit the space allocated. Contributors will be consulted on major changes.
- Editors to be permitted to add appropriate images to listings or articles, if none are provided, or add alternative images if those supplied are unsuitable. Contributors will be consulted before publication.
Contributions must not:
- Contain any material which is defamatory or libellous of any individual or organisation
- Contain any material which is obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory
- Promote sexually explicit material
- Promote violence
- Promote discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, age or sexual orientation
- Infringe any copyright, database right or trade mark of any other individual or organisation
- Promote or campaign on behalf of political parties
- Promote any illegal activity
- Be threatening, harassing, abusive or invade another’s privacy
- Promote viewpoints that are deemed contrary to the aims of the website
The Editorial Team reserves the right to decide whether a listing or article has breached this policy and to take appropriate action.
Where a breach in the policy is deemed to have occurred, the Editorial Team has the right to take any or all of the following actions:
- To request the article or listing be amended to meet the terms of the policy
- To refuse to include the article or listing on the website and inform the contributor of the reasons why this action has been taken.
